Networkcard broken?

Hello mu friends and pc-gods!Very Happy Iīm at my father in law and heīs having some problems with cpu. The network is "warning" with a "Yellow triangle with a black "!" in" and a message like follows: Status:Finite or no connection"...(iīm not sure of the "technical terms/words" is right...used an online lexicon for this)

I have an old network card but iīm not sure thats the problen, but how will i know och check whats wrong? and how doeas i do for replace this?

uninstall the card, then reinstall the card.... it could be just the drivers have gone wonky!
is it a modem or router or wireless router?

Itīs an old Nokia modem....

But how big are the risk that i wont get back online?affraid

when I try the repair-thing this message appears:Couldnīt repair cause IP-adress couldīnt renew. contact person/admin for network.....[size=7][color=#e8e8e8]
do you understand mu translation from technical-swedish to technical english`? *lol*

cool didn't know that! try to run the network wizard, there is probably something worng with the modem or the lan cable

ISP provider telia sonera?

In such a case you got there support

for your IP to renew do as follow if you got telia sonera.
Disconnect the modem from net and wait about half an hour then connect it. Maybe you dont get a new I
P, but the server your ISP provider use drop your place in the server.
